Antonio Martinez's Obituary
Antonio Martinez, 82, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2026, in Plano, Texas, just before his 83rd birthday. He was born on May 24, 1943, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Isaac Martinez and Maria de Jesus Martinez. Antonio was a man of faith who accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2001. He lived with quiet conviction and was a constant source of strength, protection, and support for his family. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Oralia Martinez; his daughters, Adriana Fuentes and Audrey Chacon; his son-in-law, Joaquin Chacon; and his grandsons, Joshua Fuentes and Marcos Chacon. A self-taught chef, Antonio spent much of his life working in Italian cuisine, where he took pride in his craft. He enjoyed reading and gardening, and he had a special talent for planting and caring for the things he grew. He was a simple, humble, and sincere man who remained content with life’s blessings, whether great or small. He will be remembered for his serene strength, wisdom, kindness, and lifelong commitment to his family. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, including his church family and friends.
The family is grateful for all expressions of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. It was Antonio’s wish that the casket remain closed.
Funeral service will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the Whispering Waters Mausoleum at Restland Funeral Home, Cemetery and Crematory.
Antonio Martínez, de 82 años y residente de The Colony, Texas, falleció el 16 de mayo de 2026 en Plano, Texas, justo antes de cumplir 83 años. Nació el 24 de mayo de 1943 en Guanajuato, México, hijo de Isaac Martínez y María de Jesús Martínez. Antonio fue un hombre de fe que aceptó a Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador en el año 2001. Vivió con una convicción serena y fue una fuente constante de fortaleza, protección y apoyo para su familia. Será recordado como un esposo, padre y abuelo devoto, así como un amigo leal. Le sobreviven su esposa de 51 años, Oralia Martínez; sus hijas, Adriana Fuentes y Audrey Chacón; su yerno, Joaquín Chacón; y sus nietos, Joshua Fuentes y Marcos Chacón. Chef autodidacta, Antonio dedicó gran parte de su vida a trabajar en la cocina italiana, oficio del cual se sentía profundamente orgulloso. Disfrutaba de la lectura y la jardinería, y poseía un talento especial para sembrar y cuidar las plantas que cultivaba. Fue un hombre sencillo, humilde y sincero, que se mantuvo siempre agradecido y satisfecho con las bendiciones de la vida, ya fueran grandes o pequeñas. Será recordado por su serena fortaleza, su sabiduría, su bondad y su inquebrantable compromiso con su familia a lo largo de toda su vida. Su presencia brindaba consuelo y alegría a quienes le rodeaban, incluyendo a su familia de la iglesia y a sus amigos.
