Archie Kirk's Obituary
Born May 5, 1919 in Kismet, KS. Passed away September 6, 2008 in Dallas, Tx. Archie was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees. He was an avid reader. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard 1941-1946 on the USS Moberly, USS Corpus Christi, CGC Rush, and CGC Mayflower. Retired from Dallas Transit in 1981. In his spare time he golfed and bowled with his best friends from Dallas Transit and Sons of Hermann Columbia Lodge No. 66. He was the secretary of the Senior Travelers Bowling League for 17 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Nella Fae Kirk. He is survived by his daughters Vicki Wilson and husband Randy, Tammy Williams and husband Doug; son Tommy Kirk and wife Jenny; grandchildren Bob Wilson, Colton Williams, and Peyton Williams. Thank you to Vista Care Hospice and a special thank you to his caregivers Mary Martin and Shirley Motten. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 9, in Restland Abbey Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
