Aretta Paynter's Obituary
Aretta Emelia Kuehl Paynter, Born March 7th 1926 to Henry and Nancy (Bertie) Kuehl in Portland, Oregon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, June 12, 2023.
Aretta was a long-time resident of Farmers Branch, TX and is preceded in death by her mother and father, loving Husband Walter E. Paynter, Son’s Elliott and Larry Paynter, Brother Robert Kuehl and Son-in-Law Louis T (Tommy) Champion, Jr.
In life she was proof that service to others and making people smile is one’s greatest source of happiness. She loved baking, bowling, taking walks, watching Grand Daughters and Great Grand Children in sporting events, quilting with friends, playing cribbage and volunteering as a librarian for The Branch Connection. Some of her fondest memories, aside from her family, was travelling with friends to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Central America and Branson.
In death Aretta is lovingly remembered by her Brother Ralph Kuehl, Daughter, Wendy Champion, Daughter-in-Law, Lucy Paynter, Grand Children and Great Grand Children, Jennifer, Stephen, Brody and Brayden Salazar, Candace, Robert, Knox and Beckett Spencer, Autumn, Rich, Ashley and Briauna Novo, Sabrina Paynter, Kevin, Sara and Keira Paynter and numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Services for Aretta will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Wildwood Chapel in Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
