Kennedy, Arlan was born on November 26, 1925 in Wyatt, Louisiana and passed away on September 18, 2012 in Mesquite, Texas. Arlan and his family moved to Dallas, Texas in the mid 1930s where he attended North Dallas High School. His family describes him has having been a “man’s man”, he loved the outdoors – fishing, hunting and ranching. Arlan was known for his independence, witty sense of humor, being a man of his word, always having an opinion about something, and sometimes for his “Kennedy temper”. Although being of normal height, his sons say that he “stood tall above other men” when it came to being up front and straight forward. All agree that you always knew where you stood with Arlan. One of his favorite sayings was “two wrongs never make a right”. According to his family, Arlan “mellowed” over the years and became a loving and concerned grandparent – he loved his “grand and great grand babies”. Visitation will be on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Restland Memorial Park
