I was so sad to hear of Arlene's passing. She was such a wonderful kind person. She was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Texas. First we were friends that shared our love of beads in Arlington at Beads Rocks and Knots, then we shared our love of beads in Dallas at Beading Dreams. Her talent was awe-inspiring. Rest in peace.

Arlene was my friend. I've only known her for the past 8-years and have enjoyed many days in her company. I was so fortunate to have shared the previous Saturday with Arlene helping her to decorate her fireplace screen with many, many beads – which she loved so much. I know she was in good sprits and quite happy as of Saturday evening. I also spent hour after hour working on jigsaw puzzles with Arlene – something we both loved to do. She was always a caring and generous hearted person who would listen to my woes and offer up helpful advised based on her knowledge and experiences. She will be missed and she will be fondly remembered. Rest easy, my friend. John Milford
She was just beginning to really enjoy her retirement. It just doesn't seem fair. She was a very sweet woman and a memorable person to have known. Alison Glezen
Arlene was such a wonderful and loving lady, and I will miss our morning walks and our talks over tea. I will treasure my final memories with her, shopping for Christmas presents and making holiday plans. She was so happy, and looking forward to the holidays. She bought spools of lovely green ribbon and we were planning to make large bows to put up in her house, and she wanted to hang garlands over her doorways. I already miss her greatly. My condolences to her friends and family.
I will miss Arlene more than I can say. She had been a good friend to me for 55 years, ever since we were young girls in Raymondville, Texas. We shared many good times as well as sad ones and had planned to go on vacation next spring. Even though there were miles between us, we always stayed in touch. She was a true friend and a wonderful person, who will be missed. Deepest Sympathies to her brother Larry. Sincerely, Anita K. (Brown) Johnson, Byron, Wyoming.
