My Auntie Sis was such an amazing woman! She was a complete ray of sunshine and we (my husband Kevin and I) will miss her dearly. We enjoyed our visits each time we rode our Harleys from Alberta, Canada to Texas. She always had adventures and outings planned when we were together. We met some wonderful friends of hers and shared many stories and even more laughs. The love she had for life and family was enormous!
We loved hearing about all her travels as she would share these with such excitement and that smile told us that every adventure and memory was a true treasure to her.
Texas now has an extra bright star to shine over it!
We will dearly miss my beautiful aunt and will come visit her and Uncle Johnny once the Canadian travel restrictions are finally lifted.
When someone you love becomes a memory ~the memory becomes a treasure.

When Keep Garland Beautiful brought the idea of adding a butterfly garden to Armstrong Park to the neighbors in the area, Arlene was one of the early sceptics because she was so protective of the park. But she quickly embraced the idea and became one of our biggest champions and supporters. She came to each of our work days, helping maintain the pollinator garden. We will miss her so much.
Well, Arlene was not a dog person and I had one loving Boston Terrier dog when I first met she and Johnny many moons ago. Her son and I had something to do and it was going to keep us out till near morning and the dog was not a welcome addition to our work! Arlene ‘offered to let him stay in the fence yard till we got back. The poor dog not only ended up in the house , but in their bed with them! I never heard the end of that story from her, but she and I laughed every time we saw each other!
