Arlene Keeton born May 31, 1939 in Mora, LA and passed away July 5, 2015 in West Tawakoni, TX. Preceded in death by husband, Virgil Keeton; mother, Mattie Edwards; father, B.F. Edwards. Survived by daughters, Theresa (Smallwood) Schmitt and husband Ken; Anita Baldwin-Jefferson and husband Raymond; Cathy Baldwin. Grandchildren, Raymond Jefferson Jr., Isaac Jefferson; Dakota Schmitt. Great-grandchild, Isaac Jefferson Jr.; Brother and nephews, Bobby Lee Edwards, Bobby W. Edwards and Michael Edwards. Arlene lived a productive life dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She was loving, charismatic, and enjoyed many artistic pursuits. She was a hard working single mother who pushed the boundaries of feminist rights. She believed in God very deeply. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:0 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
