Arnold Garcia's Obituary
Arnold Reyes "Tito" Garcia, Sr., age 94, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, at his home with his family in Dallas, Texas. Born on June 2, 1931, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico he would later meet and marry Maria Ernestina on October 5, 1951. He was preceded in death by his grandsons Freddy Garcia, Jr. and Jose Luis Cerrillo, Jr. Arnold lived a remarkable life defined by resilience, joy, and family.
Throughout his 94 years, Arnold embodied the spirit of perseverance. He faced life's challenges with optimism and determination, building a legacy rooted in hard work and an enduring passion for life. Those who knew him remember his fun-loving nature and the light-hearted energy he brought into every room. His laughter was infectious, and his positive outlook inspired those around him to embrace each day with gratitude and courage.
Arnold's journey from San Luis Potosí to the United States was marked by strength and ambition. He overcame numerous obstacles along the way, always driven by a deep commitment to providing for his loved ones and creating a better future. His life stands as a testament to the power of hope and the rewards of perseverance.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 73 years, Ernestina, age 93. Together they raised a large and devoted family that included their children: Federico and his wife Sylvia, Maria Cerrillo and her husband Juan, Laura, Arnold Jr. and his wife Beatriz, Ernestina Saunders and her husband Rick, Jose and his wife Nora, Lucy Morales and her husband Rick, Richard and his wife Rosa, and Elizabeth Garcia Roberts and her husband Christopher. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arnold’s legacy lives on through them--a reflection of his values and the love he poured into every aspect of his life.

A Viewing will be held on September 7, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home,13005 Greenville Ave. A Funeral Mass will be held on September 8, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1809 W. Davis St. Interment will immediately follow mass at 02:30 PM at Restland Funeral Cemetery 13005 Greenville Ave.
