Arthur " Art " Richard Ansley's Obituary
Arthur " Art" Richard Ansley, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. Born on June 20, 1931, Arthur lived a full life and meaningful life devoted to family, faith, and community.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Ansley; His parents Buela Mae and Henry Richard Ansley; his parents-in-law, Nathan and Lucille Wimberly; his siblings, Earl Ansley (Donie Ansley), Dorothy Cook (Adam Cook), Bill Ansley (Diane Ansley), and Morris Ansley; and his brother- in- law's Don Wimberly and Earl Roberts.
Art is Survived by his daughter, Pamela David (Brad David), and son, Michael Ansley ( Raneta Ansley), He was a proud grandfather to Julie Chamberlain (Blaine Chamberlain), Brain David (Nicole David), Brooke Apple (Michael Apple), and Austin Ansley (Erin Ansley) His legacy continues through his great- grandchildren: Cal and Briar Chamberlain; Jack, Evan, and Beau David; Carson, Landry, and Walker Apple; and Keller and Georgia Ansley. He is also survived by his sister, Mae Roberts, and his sister-in- law, Janie Wimberly, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Art enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and golf. He also loved watching his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. In his younger years, he coached his son Mike's Little League baseball and football teams and spent many years as a softball umpire. His career included serving as a Depot Parts Manager for Euclid/ Terex, a Division of General Motors, and later working in sales at Conley Lott Nichols.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church Carrollton, Arthur faithfully served as a guest greeter on Sunday mornings for many years, welcoming others with warmth and kindness. He never met a stranger.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Chapel Restland Funeral Home, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243, followed by graveside service.
Art will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to service, and his unwavering faith.
