Arthur Bjork's Obituary
Arthur Ray Bjork, age 80, went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2018 in Dallas, Texas surrounded by family. Arthur was born September 1, 1937 in Fort Worth. He spent his younger years in Marshall. This was the beginning of Arthur’s love for the railroad, since his family worked for T&P. He later moved to Dallas and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. After high school he went on to Texas A&M and took pride in playing in the Fightin Texas Aggie Band. Arthur enjoyed working in the juvenile industry for over 50 years. As a teen he began sweeping the sidewalks at Storkland, Dallas. He eventually owned three infant specialty retail stores before becoming a sales representative in the infant field. After moving to Greenville, he found joy in working in his garden, loved cooking, and would end his day rocking on the front porch. Arthur’s unwavering faith in the Lord saw him through many trials. His love for the Lord was an incredible testimony to his family and anyone who crossed his path.He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Suzan Bjork; his two step-daughters and son-in laws JJ and Shelbi Herrington; Clayton and Shannon Stephens; his two daughters and son-in-laws Greg and Shannon Jones; Gary and Shellie Carroll; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his parents; Arthur Benjamin Bjork and Katherine Bohanna Bjork.
