Arthur Joseph Lavergne III's Obituary
LAVERGNE III, ARTHUR JOSEPH of Richardson, Texas joined his heavenly family on December 12, 2013. Art was born in Beaumont, Texas by his loving parents Arthur and Betty Lavergne. Art was raised in Richardson, graduated from Richardson High School class of 1969. He furthered his education by studying Electrical Engineering (EE) at the University of Texas and graduating in August 1976. His professional career encompassed being employed as an EE at Texas Instruments, Rockwall International and McDonald Douglas through Texas and California. Art loved life and enjoyed vacationing with family and friends. He also was a missionary and spread the gospel in Israel, Latin and South America. Tennis and swimming were Art’s hobbies. He organized the annual family tennis tournament “Lassiez Bon Temps Roulez” celebrating his father’s birthday. Art is survived by his parents, Art and Betty; his siblings, Angie Hudnall, Willie, Lee Lavergne, Nina Tucker, Aaron Lavergne and their significant others, Don Hudnall, Brenda Lavergne, Kerry Tucker, Pedro Ortiz. He was loved by his nieces and nephews; Ashleigh, Brad, Cayden, Garrett, Westin, Rachael, Austin, Allie, Tyler, Tanner, Brittany and Cameron. Art’s viewing is scheduled at Restland Funeral Home, Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Art’s Celebration of Life is scheduled, Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Chapel, 5930 Alma Dr. Plano, TX 75023 In lieu of flowers please donate to the mission of Calvary Chapel www.ccplano.com
