Arthur Donald Marsden's Obituary
Arthur Donald Marsden Jr., known to friends and family as Art, passed away on July 19th, 2017 at the age of 65. He was born to Arthur Donald and Mona Rae Marsden (née Butler) on August 31, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Arthur is survived by his wife of 30 years, Catherine; son, Arthur III; daughters, Erin and Stephanie; grandson, Hayden; granddaughter, Lindsey; sisters, Cynthia and Deborah; brothers, Richard and Terry; and dozens of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susan; and his brother, Michael. Boisterous, he was the life of any gathering with his great sense of humor and bellowing laughter. With just under 30 years clean and sober, he was an active and proud participant in the recovery community. He was a lover of all kinds of animals and loved to spoil his children and grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Arthur’s life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 12:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a reception to follow the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
