Arthur Irving Middleberook's Obituary
Arthur I. Middlebrook passed away suddenly but quietly early April 7, 2011 at his home in Richardson, Tex. Art was born in Sturgis, S.D. on Nov. 18, 1930. He joined the Air Force at age 17 and began a lifelong love of flying. Art moved his family to Richardson with Collins Radio which later merged with Rockwell International and he was later with Electrospace. As an active member of the community, he was a volunteer in the RISD and AVID, Police Citizen Association, the Richardson Symphony, Meals on Wheels, and UTD. He was a long time member of First UMC Richardson and more recently Highland Park UMC where he was active in global mission programs and the volunteer center. Art was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bev. He is survived by daughter Barbara of Huntsville, AL and son Steve of Dallas, TX and their families. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 15 at Noon at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas followed by a gathering in the Great Hall. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Art Middlebrook AVID Fund in care of RISD Excellence in Education Foundation or HPUMC Outreach.
