Judy and family- I am writing on behalf of my parents, Ruth and Alex. The many wonderful memories of our time with Art and all of you during our years in Peru and Colombia bring comfort at a sad time. We are deeply sorry for your loss, but we keep warm thoughts of him, and our happy times together, in our hearts. Our love and sincerest condolences to all of you.
Art had a smile for everyone. Sometimes I thought he was smiling just to keep us on our toes. My Grandfather grew up in the same era as Art, a time when the world was still large enough to explore but growing smaller with each passing day. The world seems smallerdue to high tech and Art like my Grandfather got to see it all. The world is diminished by Arts departure. We are richer for having known you.
Art, what a great guy with that wonderful smile. You always made Dan and I feel we were part of your special family. I know that Dan's happiest, most special moments, the highlights of his career was working with you. We will miss you Art, and your wonderful stories of your exciting adventures.
