Arthur Petrin Jr's Obituary
Born May 23rd, 1947 in Fall River, Massachusetts and passed away February 2nd 2020 in Dallas, Texas. Arthur was his name, but if you knew him you called him “Tip”. Tip grew up in Massachusetts, and in 1964 he joined the US Navy for 2 years. Then in 1967 on a cross country guy’s trip he stopped in Dallas at a popular hangout for young people both then and now known as the White Rock Lake Spillway. There he met Barbara. They dated and later that year they got married. Over the next 52 years they worked, raised 2 sons and traveled. They really loved to travel. They traveled often, to places like Boston, Tampa, New Orleans, San Francisco and Mexico. They loved to take long cruises to the Caribbean Islands or quick trips to nearby casinos. They even made it as far as Norway, Scotland and England. Last year they took a long-planned trip to Niagara Falls. Tip’s health had been declining and traveling was becoming more difficult. He still loved getting out and spending time with his three grandchildren when could. He passed peacefully with his family by his side. Arthur “Tip” Petrin Jr. was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Your dancing, joke telling, singing and life lessons like “do what I say and not what I do” and the popular “you can’t drink all day… if you don’t start in the morning!” will live on with our wonderful memories of you. Travel safe on to your next adventure! Arthur was Preceded in death by; Arthur (Red) Petrin Sr. (Father), Thelma (Tiny) Petrin (Mother) and Beverly Petrin (Sister).
