Arthur Norvelle Salsbury's Obituary
Arthur Norvelle Salsbury of ~orth Richland Hills passed away on June 30, 2016 after a long illness. He will be remembered at a memorial service on Wednesday, July 6 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Colleyville, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Restland in Dallas, Texas. Art was born on May 31, 1935, to Ruth Ellen Weiss Salsbury and Arthur Salsbury in Burlington, Kansas. He graduated from Ottawa High School in Kansas. After high school, he joined the United States air force. After serving in the air force, he went to work at Texas Instruments, where he remained employed for many years. After retiring from TI, he tried his hand at real estate. Never one to slow down, after retirement, he continued working on all manner of woodworking and handyman projects, as well as his beautiful yard. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Janis; his daughters Theresa Walker, Lisa Baxter and husband Robert, Melissa Garrett and husband, Pat son Steve Salsbury and wife Monti; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; sister Reba Bennett, brothers Bob Salsbury and Gene Salsbury; nieces and nephews and many great friends. Art is preceded in death by his mother and father. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
