Arthur Henry Schultz's Obituary
Arthur Henry Schultz, loving husband, father and friend, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife Alicia, his daughter Carmen, his sons Tadeo, Arturo Ernest and Lloyd, and his grandchildren from Tadeo (Anna), from Arturo Ernest (Elena and Arturo Carlos) and from Lloyd (Alexander and Francesca). He will be missed by family and friends. Born in Cumberland, Maryland in 1925. Arthur graduated from Salem High School (Salem, Ohio) in 1943. He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946, and from 1951 to 1952, he attended Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where he received his BSc in Geology in 1951, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he received his MSc in Geology in 1953. Arthur worked from 1953 to 1975 as a petroleum geologist for Exxon Oil Co. and subsequently Mobil Oil Co. in Venezuela, where he was active in the exploration and development of Venezuela’s oil reserves and where he met his wife Alicia. He settled in Dallas in 1975, where he continued his work in oil exploration for Mobil Oil Co. and where he retired in 1993. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:30 PM following the Rosary at 5:30 PM at the Memorial Chapel in Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2011 at 12:30 PM at Wildwood Chapel in Restland Funeral Home.
