Mr. Arvil Ray Hance's Obituary
HANCE, ARVIL R. “BUTCH”, Dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born on November 27th, 1922 in Coolidge, Texas to W.J. and Eunice Hance. Passed away at home on August 23, 2007. Mr. Hance attended SMU and worked in the car industry. He shared ownership of Fred Oakley Chrysler-Plymouth in Irving, Texas where he retired in 1987. His wife of fifty- three years, Lorraine Evelyn Lakey Hance, expired in 1998. Butch was married to Sue Ann MacManamy for the remainder of his life. Butch was an avid fisherman and was happiest when at his lake home or in the presence of his family. He was a role model and inspiration to his children and grandchildren and will be missed by each of them. Butch is survived by his wife of seven years, Sue Hance, daughters, Kathleen Gentry & husband David of Winston, GA, and Vickie H. McMurry & husband, Rex of Argyle, TX; sons Don Hance of Dallas, TX and Ronnie Hance of Argyle, TX; grandchildren, Rebecca Schaefer & husband Paul Gregory of Atlanta, GA, Crispin Levens of Roanoke, TX, Justin Hance of Plano, TX, Jordan Hance of Plano, TX and great-granddaughters Madison Lorraine McGee of Roanoke, TX and Reanna Harper of Villa Rica, GA. He is also survived by his brother, J.W. Hance of Lancaster, CA. Visitation will be from 5 to 7PM, Friday August 24, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 12:30PM, Saturday August 25, 2007 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
