Arvol Hays' Obituary
HAYS, ARVOL, Born September 10, 1914 to Clara and James Hays in Brown County, Texas. Died on September 21, 2007 in Dallas, TX. He was a 1939 graduate of West Texas State Teachers College. He began working for the USDA in the Farm Security Administration where he became district supervisor. He married Ala Ketchersid on June 8, 1940. In 1948 they moved to Lubbock, TX where he started Arvol D Hays Construction Company. In 1969 they moved his company to Dallas where he had many projects in Dallas. He was a member of the Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas. He was a 50 year mason. Survived by his wife Ala; daughter, Judy Webb; son, Roger Hays and wife Pamela; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel with Mr. George Bailey officiating. Interment following at Restland Memorial Park.
