Ashley Nicole Keeling's Obituary
Ashley Nicole Keeling
Ashley Nicole Keeling was born October 5, 1982 just one minute after her twin sister Ayla.
Ashely was born with medical complications that kept her in and out of the hospital for the first
4 years of her life. It is a testament to her vibrance and fight for life that many of her nurses still
remember her 40 years later and that she still holds a place in their hearts.
Daughter to Richard Keeling and Laurie Kidder who loved and cared for her until her last
breath. Even with the breathing limitations that Ashley faced, they made sure she lived a life
that rivaled any child. She swam in oceans, stuck her toes in the sand, skied in the snowy
mountains and laid in the sun by the lake. She did not miss out.
Ashley lived a life full of love that she shared with all around her. She was shy but chatty the
second she felt comfortable. If she could make someone laugh, her world was made. Ashley’s
true medicine in life was laughter.
Family and friends meant so much to Ashley but being the best Aunt to Elyse (10) and Sawyer
(8) was her greatest joy and accomplishment. She loved them as if they were her own. She was
their second mom and no one spoiled them more. Ashley would often say that her heart would
burst when watching them experience the world.
A sister is your first best friend and your biggest cheerleader. Ashley took this to heart in being
the absolute best sister in the world. There was not a more selfless sister than her and she
deserves all the praise.
Ashley was a gift to us all and the kindness she shared will be mirrored by those who knew her
best. She understood that the simplest gestures were as loving at times as the biggest one.
Ashley just wanted you to know you were loved..
