Aubra Billy Thomas age 79 of Dallas, Texas passed away on June 6, 2018. He was born to Aubra and Lucille Thomas. A.B. married Joan Barnett on December 28, 1974, in Dallas, Texas. A.B. Thomas loved college football, good jazz and above all his family. A graduate of the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University he stuck by their football programs through good seasons and bad. He was a proud former Marine and fourth generation Texan with an understated pride of place. But most of all he was devoted to his family, and particularly, in recent years, his granddaughter and namesake Aubrey. A.B. is survived by his wife, Joan Barnett Thomas of Dallas, Texas; sons, Lemuel B Thomas of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Jaudon Wilhite. The family will receive guests on Monday, June 11, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 PM also in The Wildwood Chapel.
