He was preceded in death by: His wife – Joyce Blake. His sons - Carroll Blake and Mark Blake. His parents - William Blake and Valley Lee Blake. His siblings – William (Buck) Blake, Marie Adams, Mae Peebles and Bobbie Kuykendall.
He loved being at home after he finally retired after 70 years with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 100 Dallas, Texas. He was proud of that milestone and always said that although he didn’t regret retiring, he did work alongside so many good people in his tenure that that would be what he missed. Visiting with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, having weekly breakfasts with his best friend Mr. Hattaway, as well as his daughter, working on his car, and taking care of his yard until almost the end were also a few of the things he enjoyed and looked forward to. He will be missed so much here, but he is with his sons now, too.
A visitation to honor Aubrey will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home, with a cryptside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park.
