Audrey Mae Kirk's Obituary
KIRK, AUDREY MAE NELSON Was loved by everyone who knew this elegant, lovely lady. However, it was her family who had the privilege of calling her Mother. Audrey was born November 19, 1918 in Keats, Kansas to Kathryn and Arthur V. Nelson. She had two sisters, Hazel Dial and Lois Brown Schultz Repp. While in high school, Audrey was the forward for the Kansas State Champion basketball team. In 1941, she married a handsome red-head, Dean Kirk, and became a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Together for 54 years, Dean and Audrey provided a legacy of faith and love for their children: Deanna and Gary Beauchamp, Jim and Pam Kirk, Tom and Beth Kirk; Grandchildren: Greg and Liz Beauchamp, Betsy and Keith Luttrell, Katie and Bret Pedigo, Jeff and Tara Kirk, April and Trey Roberts, Brad and Tara Kirk, Brian and Anne Kirk, Katherine and Hunter Brantley; Great-Grandchildren: Hunter, Brady and Sarabeth Beauchamp, Lacey and Lane Luttrell, Annalea and Beau Pedigo, McCartney, Hudson and Brinley Kirk, Tripp and Crosby Roberts, Rollins Kirk, Ben and Dean Kirk. Audrey was an Administrative Assistant at the Menningers Health Center in Topeka, Kansas and was an Assistant for the Engineering and Science Departments, Library, Adult Education Program, and served as Administrative Assistant for three Presidents of SMU. She also was the Office Manager for Lifeline Home Health Services. However, she excelled at her volunteer work for the church, especially Helping Hearts and Christian Care Center. Her children invite you to the visitation at Restland Funeral Home Saturday evening, April 21, 5:00 – 7:00 and as we honor and celebrate her life at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ, Sunday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Arms of Hope.org. and New Friends New Life.org.
