Audrey Faye Pogue's Obituary
On June 16, 2017, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully at her home in Mesquite, Texas. Audrey Faye Pogue was born on May 29, 1934 in Pine Forest, Texas to the late Aubrey and Willie Faye Bradford. She was the oldest of five children and is sister to Wilma Scholl, Newman Bradford, Carolyn Olney, and Weldon Bradford. As a teen, Audrey was active and very involved in the 4H club and community events in Pine Forest, being crowned the Northeast Texas Dairy Show Queen in 1952. On January 20, 1961, Audrey was united in holy matrimony to Harold Pogue in Dallas, Texas. They were blessed with two sons, Mark and Greg Pogue. The family resided in Mesquite, Texas. Audrey and Harold were active members of White Rock Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in the garden, doing puzzles, quilting, cooking, decorating, and serving others. Her grandchildren have many fond memories of making forts, baking cookies, going to the Arboretum, and crafting with MeMe. With her sweet spirit and never-ending kindness, Audrey was a blessing to all that knew her. She will be missed, but the family is comforted by the knowledge that she is celebrating her eternal life in heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Audrey is survived by her husband, Harold, her son Mark and his wife, Maria, her son, Greg, and his wife, Lisa, her grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan, Parker, Prestynn, Rodrigo, Flor, Alonzo, Madeline, and great-granddaughter, Angie, her siblings Wilma, Newman, Carolyn, and Weldon, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 19, 2017 at White Rock Church of Christ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
