Ava "Gwen" Davis' Obituary
DAVIS, AVA “GWEN” 68, of Dallas, TX passed away peacefully on November 3, 2011. She was born on July 11, 1943 in Vicksburg, MS. Gwen was the youngest of 2 children. Gwen married Charles Davis in Dallas on April 22, 1962. They had 2 children. She attended Woodrow Wilson and graduated in 1961. She was a long time resident of Dallas, TX. Gwen was a member of Meals on Wheels for 20 years, the President of the PTA, a member of the Lake Highlands Womens League, and belonged to the Dallas Junior Forum. She enjoyed family and friends. Gwen will be remembered by her loving husband and their children; Morgan Davis and Wife Karen, and Jennifer Chandler and Husband Scott. She is also survived by her sister Judy Huddleston and grandchildren; Claire, Quinn, Sam, and Luke Davis, Victoria and Olivia Chandler, and many oher relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Ava Norwood. Visitation will be 4-6pm Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10am Monday, November 7, 2011 at Restland Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to UCSF Memory and Aging Center for FTD.
