Aveline "Abby" Palma's Obituary
Aveline Palma, better known as Abby or “Ringie”, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the age of 68 in Richardson. Abby was born to parents Isabelo T. & Consuelo A. Ramirez on April 28, 1947. She grew up as the middle of 6 children and lived all her life in the Dallas area. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1965 and attended El Centro College. At the age of 21 she began working at Ward’s Pharmacy and continued to work as a pharmacy tech even as it changed ownership to Eckerd’s until finally retiring from CVS in 2014. When she met her beloved husband Jesse Palma, she knew right then & there that he was the only vocalist she wanted serenading her with love songs for the rest of her life. In 1969, she married Jesse in a triple wedding ceremony along with her older brother & sister. These three couples have continued their tight-knit group throughout their 46 plus years of marriage. Whether it was taking road trips together, going out to eat, or conveniently ending up living within a mile of one another – the three couples have been an inseparable six-pack ever since. One of Abby’s favorite things in life were her many cats; to the extent that almost everyone in the family has owned at least one of the numerous offspring her long line of felines have produced. Abby was an amazing woman with an incredible sense of humor and was loved by everyone that knew her. Those related to her either by blood or marriage were especially touched by cherished memories; whether it was traveling to the casino (win or lose) or to the beach, everyone has a fond remembrance of sharing in her joy of life. Abby had numerous nieces and nephews and was a very proud Godmother – all of whom she treated as if they were her own. She gave each one of them a nickname, a “crowning” and made them all her signature chocolate cake. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl Ramirez. She is survived by her husband, Jesse G. Palma; brothers & sisters Helen Herrera (husband Lawrence), Arthur Ramirez (wife Rebecca), Tony Ramirez (wife Renee), and Blanca Moore (husband Tony). We love you and will miss you dearly, Ringie. The service for Aveline Palma will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2:30 PM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
