Avonne Vickery Jacobson's Obituary
Avonne Jacobson born on September 5, 1927 and passed away on August 29, 2017. She is preceded in death by parents; two sisters, Burene Sims and Dorothy Rampy; husband, Ralph G Jacobson; two children, Jeana Davis and Ray Hacker; step grandchild, Cindy. Avonne is survived by her daughter, Kaye Srader and husband, Danny; step daughters, Linnea Wainwright, Sonja Cook and husband, Cliff; step son, Doug Jacobson and wife, Cindy; nephew,, Dickey Sims and wife, Barbara; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Avonne Vickery Jacobson: She was a born again Christian serving her Lord faithfully by teaching, singing and serving. Avonne had a love and a passion for missions especially Pakistan. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, making crafts, playing Chicken Foot and working all kinds of word puzzles. Co-leading an exercise class at her previous residence, Redbud Place in McKinney brought her much joy. For several years she was a member of the National Depression Glass Association in Oklahoma City. In the 1980’s she shared her alto voice with the Sweet Adelines Harmony Choir. She was witty, quick to joke and laugh and never knew a stranger.In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Pakistani Missions either online at www.ten14.org or make checks payable to Ten14 Ministries, PO Box 542442, Grand Prairie, TX 75054.The visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 3 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel.
