Born Feb 26, 1920 in Grandfield, OK and passed away Feb 2, 2016 in Austin, TX. Preceded in death by Ida Mae Kent (married 44 years), all 6 of his siblings and their spouses, and his grandson Kenneth Kent. Survived by his wife Lillie Mae Kent (married 30 years) and his three children, (Robert Sidney Kent, Terry Dee & husband Terry Vance, and Jerry Lee & wife Debbie Kent); five grandsons, (Allan, Christopher, & Justin Kent and Damon & Ryan Vance); and seven great grandchildren(Heather, Spencer, Brier & Sadie Kent and Taylor, Sarah, & Mila Vance). Service will be held on Saturday Feb 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home; Wildwood Chapel; 13005 Greenville Ave; Dallas, TX 75243 with a visitation 1 hour prior. Boots grew up in SW OK and West TX; served in Army from 1940 – 1945; began sheet metal work in Southern California and then in Dallas from 1955 –1980; retired to McAllen, TX in 1980; moved to Austin in Jan 2016.
