Barbara June Bailey-Smith's Obituary
Barbara Bailey-Smith, 82, of Plano, Texas passed away in Plano, Texas on June 2, 2021. She was born in Brownwood, Texas on November 17, 1938 to Robert and Grace Bailey.
Barbara was an Administrative Assistant at Purdue University and UT Southwestern.
Barbara graduated from Garland high School and attended North Texas State University majoring in Music. This is where she met her future husband, Robert Smith. The had two children, Deborah Smith and Teri Nuerge, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was active in church and school activities including band, choir, and musical performances.
Barbara's loves were playing piano, singing, jam sessions with her many musically talented family members and friends, cooking, nature and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed helping her husband with his photography business and art shows.
She is remembered by friends and family as very outgoing, friendly, and always had a positive outlook and a smile on her face.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dwain Bailey.
Survivors include her daughters, Teri Nuerge of Cape Coral, Florida and Deborah Smith of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Myrna Sadler of Garland, Texas.
