Barbara Lee Barnhardt's Obituary
Barbara Lee (Collier) Barnhardt (87) passed away on June 27, 2025, at Woodlands Place Rehabilitation Suites, in Denison, TX.
She was born in Greenville, TX, on Oct. 13, 1937, to Aubrey Lee and Florence (Monroe) Collier. She spent her early years living in South Texas, Mississippi, and Mexico, where her father was a diver for Gulf Oil Company.
She later went to Dallas schools, graduating from Crozier Technical High School in 1956, where she was head majorette and voted most beautiful.
She Married Charles Clyde Barnhardt in 1957,and began raising her family of three children.
She worked many years and retired from Lone Star Institutional Grocers, as executive secretary.
She was a Christian, being baptized in the Baptist tradition. She enjoyed music, dancing, and movies, and spending time with family, especially her “Little Morgan, “ as she called her.
She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly C Williams and son-in-law Kenneth of Sherman, a son, Adam Barnhardt of Los Angeles, CA, a sister, Carole (Collier) Wade of Dallas, a granddaughter, Morgan T Williams of Denton, a great-granddaughter, Alice of Austin, two nephews, and a number of cousins and grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Darren Todd Barnhardt who died in 2017.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 14th, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX from 1-5 PM with eulogy at 3 PM, Rev. Charles Fisher officiating. Private Interment will follow at a later date.
