Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Andrews' Obituary
Barbara (Bobbie) Andrews peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior the morning of November 27, 2023. Barbara Jean Waters was born December 12, 1929, in Ocklawaha Florida to Christopher Orman Waters and Marion Martis Waters.
Bobbie graduated from Alachua High School in 1947 and went on to Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas where she met and married Rex Westerfield. Rex and Bobbie raised two children, Russell Leigh Westerfield and Jenny Shea Westerfield. During that time Bobbie was a devoted mother and housewife.
After Rusty and Jenny were grown, Bobbie became an administrative assistant at Degolyer McNaughton, a Dallas based engineering firm. During her tenure there she met Guy H. Andrews. Guy and Bobbie married in Dallas, Texas on January 1, 1977. After their marriage Bobbie retired and became an avid and competitive tennis player. Bobbie was a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ. Bobbie became a Stephen’s Minister at Highland Oaks and taught English thru the Bible.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Rusty; her brother, Larry Waters; and her sister, Iva Lee Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Andrews; daughter, Jenny Cromeens and husband Steve; sister, Nola Choquette and husband Smokey; grandson, Conner Cromeens; granddaughter, Mallory Allcorn and husband, Bill; great grandchildren, Ford, Millie, and Josie Allcorn, and Byrdie Jean Cromeens.
