Barbara "Boo" Lennox Etcheverry's Obituary
Barbara Lennox Etcheverry, age 73, passed away on June 17, 2022 in Richardson, Texas. She was born to Donald Barr and Virginia Olga Lennox on December 4, 1948 in Danville, Virginia. Barbara leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Barbara's roommate was her adored cat, Tuxie. Growing up she loved household animals, which included a German Shepherd name Schultze and a few cats. Her love of animals progressed to horses after working one summer at White Rock Stables. Much to her dismay, her parents did not allow her to have a horse. She was a 1967 graduate of Lake Highlands High School where she was a member of the drill team. While attending Tyler Junior College she was nominated for Homecoming Queen and was a member of Tau Kappa. After several years in real estate, she decided to take her comedic wit and personality to Dillard's; which helped her receive the Sales Associate of the month several times. When Barbara went with family and friends she showed off her ballroom dancing skills and enjoyed teaching others. Barbara (Boo) was a small lady in stature with the heart of a giant.
Boo will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Donna Lennox Payton and her husband Lynn Brooks Payton Sr. of Richardson, Texas. Her brother, Donald "Donnie" Ebann Lennox and his wife Betsy Lockard Lennox of McKinney, Texas. Also to cherish her memory will be nephews: Lynn Brooks Payton Jr. and his wife Tammi Payton of Mesquite, Texas; Corey Lennox Payton of Richardson, Texas; Clinton Ebann Lennox and his fiancé Lynde Peralta of Allen, Texas; and niece Jana Leigh Simmons and her husband Rhett Simmons of Richardson, Texas; along with several great nieces and nephews.
Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00pm in the Memorial Chapel. Barbara will be placed following the service in Whispering Waters Columbarium with her beloved husband, William Etcheverry.
