Barbara Bowles Braddock's Obituary
Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother, Barbara Bowles Braddock, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 85 on November 27th, 2023 after a brief illness.
Barbara was born on February 7th, 1938 to Karl Augustus and Dallie Dell Bowles. Barbara met Thomas Braddock and they were married on March 14th, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. A longtime member of Oates Drive Baptist Church for some 60 years, she participated in many activities including teaching Sunday School and as a choir member. Barbara retired after 23 years of dedicated work at Texas Instruments.
Barbara joins her husband Thomas Braddock, sister Virginia Locke, two brothers James Bowles and Dannie Cummings and grandson Jeremy Eiben in Heaven. Barbara is also survived by many loving family members, including David and Sherry Braddock of Rowlett, Texas; Martha Smith of Mesquite, Texas; Glynn Braddock of Mesquite, Texas; James and Jane Braddock of Rockwall, Texas; and Mark and Kari Braddock of Mesquite Texas, as well as 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others. A loyal servant to God, Barbara was a prayer warrior. Now that she has passed into the arms of our gracious and merciful Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Barbara’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey in Heaven.
Services will be held at 10 am on December 5th at Restland on Greenville Ave. in Dallas Texas. Grave site service follows at 12:00 pm also at Restland.
