Barbara Marie Chapman's Obituary
Barbara Marie Chapman, age 87, entered into rest on February 1, 2026 in Richardson, Texas. She entered into life on September 6, 1938 in Negaunee, Michigan, to parents Mathias Laukka and Salmi Kentanen.
She married Stanley Chapman on March 14, 1959.
Barbara always had a smile on her face, a happy heart, and usually had a book in her hands. She spent many happy hours traveling with friends by motorcycle and spending lots of time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Matthias and Salmi Laukka of Negaunee, Michigan.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Stanley J. Chapman; daughter, Janis M. Kampman (Steve); granddaughters, Jennifer Kampman and Rachel Wilson; son, Scott J. Chapman (Kathy); grandson, Sean J. Chapman (Dara), and great-grandson, Skylar; granddaughter, Alyssa McClintock (Tim); great-grandchildren, Ethan and Abbie: her son, Dean Chapman (Lisa); granddaughter, Haley Chapman-Nigg (Brandon); son, Jack Nigg; granddaughters, Hunter Chapman and Alanna Riebel.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Chapman, of Clinton, Iowa.
Barbara will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
