Barbara, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who always put family first, graduated from St. Ambrose, Grosse Pointe, MI in 1950 and began her life with Jim in October 1951 at the tender age of 18. Immediately moved to Jacksonville, FL for 2 years while Jim was on Active duty in the US Navy. Settled in suburban Detroit where they began their family of six. Together they bounced from Detroit; to Buffalo; to Dallas; to Allentown; to San Angelo; to Grand Prairie; to North Port; and finally McKinney, TX. Having never attended college, Barb the bookkeeper worked at many places, closing out her full-time career with Kelly Moore Paint Co. as an A/R Supervisor. In her mid-70’s she used her bookkeeping skills once again, working part-time for more than a decade. She was organized, tough but tender, lenient if she liked you, and was always laughing. She handled life’s many challenges with a positive attitude and a deep faith in God’s goodness and grace.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 27th, at St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Church in McKinney.
