Barbara Tubbs Honas' Obituary
Barbara (Tubbs) Honas, a devoted wife, mother, and friend of all passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at the age of 67.
Born in Humansville, Missouri, on January 24, 1959, to James Tubbs and Dixie (Gage) Tubbs. Barbara was an exemplary mother figure and human being. She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity, which was evident in her care for her family and friends. Barbara will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her ability to light up any room she walked into, and her way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord, being a dedicated wife to her husband David of 47 years and being an amazing mother to her boys, Christopher and Andrew. She spent her free time with all her groups of friends, traveling, taking care of her flowers, taking walks, playing pickleball, volunteering at the animal shelter, being around family and friends as often as possible, and truly living life to the fullest.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, David Honas, children Christopher Honas and Andrew Honas; and daughter-in-law Morgan (Giles) Honas. She is also survived by her siblings: Larry Tubbs (Judy), Gagelene Dunkerly (John), Phil Tubbs (Susan), Gail Dillard (Rick), Lindsay Tubbs (Sharon), brother-in-law Brian Honas (Mary), sister-in-law Debbie Park, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dixie Tubbs, sister Victoria Bricker and brother Scott Tubbs.
A visitation service will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 5-7:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home and a Memorial Service on Friday, June 12th at 10 AM at Springcreek Church, with a graveside service to follow at Restland Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Friends of Animals. The donation can be made in honor of Barbara Honas.
In honor of Barbara, we ask that bright colors and florals be worn during the funeral service.
