Barbara Jan Massey's Obituary
Barbara Jan Massey was born on June 08, 1942 in Houston, Texas and passed away on October 11, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Elva and Reid Massey and brother, Charles O. Massey. Barbara graduated from Baylor University in 1964 with a BS in Physics and Math. She started her own business and was an IT Project Management Consultant. Barbara was active in Baylor Alumni and served with the Dallas Fort Worth Baylor Women’s Council. She was a philanthropist and traveled the world, enjoying many a fine food and wine. She will be missed and remembered by her niece, Shannon Massey Ward; nephews, Mark Massey and Kevin Hamilton Massey; numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the North Forty Chapel, 5595 N. 40 Place, Dallas, Texas 75252. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Martin Museum of Art, Baylor University, One Bear Place #97263, Waco, Texas 76798-7263.
