Barbara Jeanne Johnson's Obituary
Barbara Jeanne Johnson born April 10, 1926 in Hubbard, Texas and passed away December 12, 2014 in Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Albert Johnson; her parents, Roy Pitts and Irmadine Lindeman; her sister, Pat Anthony; and her son-in-law, Jeryl Jordan. Barbara was survived by her daughters, Sharon Jordan , Debbie Shugart and husband, Bob; her grandchildren, Justin Jordan and wife Heather, Jaysha Grant and husband J.R.; her great-grandhchildren, Kylie and Jordan Grant, J.B. Jordan and Avery Johnston; her brother-in-law, Joe Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Love and laughter echoed around Barbara. Her family, friends and care givers all shared in her circle of joy, music, and fiesty spirit. Barbara and Al were devoted members of the Wayfarer’s Sunday School Class at FUMC of Richardson. We are thankful that B.J. was surrounded with loving care and laughter the past 3 years by the caregivers, nurses and professional staff at Prestonwood Rehab and Hospice Plus. A graveside service for Barbara Johnson will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014 in Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of North Central Texas, www.alz.org.
