Barbara Ann Lemons' Obituary
Barbara Ann Lemons "Babs", "Granny", 93, was born on December 13th, 1926, in Waco, Texas. She was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2020 while at home in Dallas, Texas.
Babs grew up in Waco, Texas and graduated from Waco High. She continued her education at Baylor University and graduated with honors. Babs worked as a Lab Tech at Gaston and Doctor’s hospitals for more than 40 years. Babs had many loves in her life….her best love….her family and making memories with them that will be cherished forever. She loved to travel the States, Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and enjoyed cruising with friends and family. Babs was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing with friends and doubling with her son, Doug (they came in first many times). She was a fashion-ista, and enjoyed dressing in style from head to toe! She walked the runway many times in modeling her snazzy outfits. Her love of fishing brought many wonderful memories, lots of fish, and many trips to Matzalan. Spending time and going places with her grandchildren brought much joy and happiness to both her and her grandkids. Making those memories with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be cherished forever.
Babs has always worn “rose-colored glasses” and could find the positive in just about everything, and if not, “it’s for the birds” she would say! She loved hosting guests in her home and always had it decorated for the occasion. Knowing how she took great joy in decorating for Christmas, be assured she’s doing the same in Heaven.
Babs, Granny, Granny Babs, Grams, Mrs. Lemons was one who made the world just by being in it………what a blessing!
