Barbara Marshall's Obituary
Ella Barbara Marshall, formerly of Irving and Plano, Texas, went Home to be with our Lord on June 3, 2017 in Grapevine, TX. She was born January 14, 1923 in Spur, Texas to Ida Della (Parr) and James Bruce Hindman. She graduated from Electra High School where she played drums in the marching band as well as guitar and steel guitar. As a talented artist, she attended college in Dallas,Texas where she excelled in Fashion Design Sketching & Painting. During Worls War II, she worked at Lockheed Martin Ft. Worth on aircraft for the war effort. She was a special homemaker, Real Estate Broker, and assistant to an Irving Builder. She married James H. Marshall and had four children. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Lefty, daughter Nancy Galyon and husband Jimmy Galyon (2004, 2007), and brother Buddy Lee Hindman in 1946. She is survived by son, Dwayne H. Marshall and wife Jana; daughters, Holly Hamilton and husband Bob, and Debby Fontenot and husband Wayne; brother, Freddie Joe Hindman and wife, Katie of San Antonio,TX; six Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren; one Great, Great Grandchild; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was known to them as Granny Barby and Ganny Baby, GB and GGB. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Restland Memorial Park in the Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Jay Franks officiating. Following the service, there will be a short procession to Acacia Lawn for a brief committal service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
