Barbara Ree Martin's Obituary
75, of Carrollton, TX passed away Thursday night, June 11, 2009. Born in Athens, GA in Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late James Robert “Dink” Patrick, Sr. and the late Lillie “Marie” Brown Patrick. She is preceded in death by her brother James Robert Patrick, Jr., sister-in-law Ann Elizabeth Tiller Patrick, and nephew Robert Gregory Patrick. Barbara has recently resided at Edenbrook in Plano, TX. She was a homemaker and previously active in her church, Royal Haven Baptist Church in Dallas, TX as well as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Married May 28, 1955 in Madison, GA, she is survived by her husband James “Wyatt” Martin Sr.; son, James “Jim” Wyatt Martin, Jr. of Austin, TX; daughter, Kathryn Marie Martin Beck of Carrollton, TX; daughter-in-law, Christine Lee Crawford Martin of Austin, TX; two grandsons, Taylor Crawford Martin and William Crawford Weaver of Austin, TX; two granddaughters, TaylorMarie Beck and Jaclyn Marie Beck of Carrollton, TX. She is also survived by her two Aunts, Galdys Brown Jordan and Alice Brown Williams, as well as several cousins. Visitation is at Restland in Dallas, TX from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 2:00p.m.at Royal Haven Baptist Church, 10919 Royal Haven Lane in Dallas. Rev. Zang will officiate. Family will also receive friends at Lord and Stephens in Danielsville, GA from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 18 at 11:30a.m. at the Danielsville City Cemetery, Madison County, GA on Hwy 29 with Rev. Herman Nation officiating. Contributions cam be made in Barbara’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
