Barbara Ann Proud's Obituary
PROUD, BARBARA ANN recently of Angel Fire, New Mexico, passed away February 9, 2014 in Plano, Texas. Barbara was born May 27, 1937 in the coal mining town of Edwardsville, Pennsylvania to parents Joseph and Anna Horvath. At age 17 she moved to Philadelphia, eventually meeting her husband of 56 years, Frank Proud. Barbara and Frank settled in Dallas where they raised children Christopher, Lorraine, and JoAnne Proud. Barbara is also survived by granddaughters Lisa Brown, Nicole Wilson, Corynn Wilson, and Kali Proud. Barbara loved a good book, an old movie, or a walk with her dog Princess in the New Mexico mountains. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM, Friday, February 14, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
