Barbara Jean Ricketts Purcell's Obituary
Barbara Jean Ricketts Purcell was taken from this earthly life on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Barbara was born on December 16, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Purcell; her mother, Evelyn Ricketts; and brother. She leaves behind her daughter, Evelyn Clark and her husband Aaron of Richardson, Texas; son, Daniel Donegan and his wife Liz of Denton, Texas; and two adoring granddaughters, Olivia and Katie Donegan of Denton, Texas as well as stepchildren, Cathy, Jaque, John, Denise, Patrick and Colleen and their families. Barbara devoted her life to rescuing countless animals and helping those in need. She was a devoted “Granna” to her granddaughters, a wonderful mother and a loving friend. Barbara loved her Lord Jesus and spent her last days resting in His promise of a life spent with Him to all who call him Savior. Our hearts are broken but she has been made whole. Services will be held on Friday, October 7th at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
