Barbara A Robinson's Obituary
On Monday, June 8th, 2020, Barbara Robinson, our beautiful, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Dallas, TX.
Barbara was born on June 11th, 1933 in Syracuse, NY to Watson L. and Marion (Augenstine) Fay. Around the ripe old age of 14 she met her future husband Ivan Sr. On April, 10th, 1954 she married him in Taunton, NY. They lived in Syracuse, NY and Tucson, AZ. During this time they had a son, Ivan Jr. and three daughters, Beverly, Vivian and Leslie, before calling Richardson, TX their permanent home in 1965. She was employed as a comptometrist for Western Electric and AT&T. After retiring she was self employed, where she owned Ye Olde Donut Shoppe in Garland, TX and later, Pet Den Grooming In Dallas, TX.
Barbara had a love for animals. When she owned Pet Den Grooming, abandoned pets became hers. She loved them and they loved her. She was fiesty, fun, loving, giving, helpful and the best Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma you could ask for. During her final few months, we were not allowed to see her because of what was going on in the world. With her alzheimers, she did not know. We did, and it was hard. We were not with her when she passed. We were truly blessed to have had a loving caregiver, Ester, who was with mom 24/7. Also Moms Accord Hospice team. They took great care of her these past 3-4 years for which we are very thankful.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Ivan Sr. Her father Watson and her mother Marion.
