Barbara Laurice Savoy's Obituary
Our beloved Barbara “Laurice” Savoy, 63 passed on to her heavenly home on January 1, 2026, surrounded by family. Laurice was born in Lubbock, Tx., on June 27, 1962, to Bobbie Lee Moore and Robert Moore. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all that knew her. Laurice was a devoted Christian and a member of the Buckingham Road Church of Christ in Garland, Tx.
Laurice grew up in Monahans, Tx., where she also met the love of her life, Tim Savoy, and married on January 22, 1993, and raised her children Fonda and Tarrah. After moving to the DFW area, she devoted her time to supporting her daughters in their school activities. She also enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and having a house full of laughter and love. She also enjoyed playing games and putting puzzles together with her grandchildren. Laurice enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed growing flowers and sharing pictures with her mother ‘Bobbie” for hours at a time. She also loved her pets and spending time spoiling them. Laurice was a devoted Christian and loved sharing the gospel with others, whether by action or words. She spent hours studying God word. Laurice had a remarkable sense of humor, and she never met a stranger. She was a bright light in many lives and will be sincerely missed.
She is preceded in death by Robert Moore (father), Gayla Wolf (sister) and Kelly Moore (brother).
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Tim Savoy, her mother Bobbie Moore, her daughters Fonda Howard and Tarrah Oliver, her brothers Danny Moore and Glenn Moore as well as her grandchildren, Kimberly, Faith, Deliah, Serenity, and her great grandson Chase, and many nieces and nephews.
