Barbara Mae Schexnayder's Obituary
Born August 15, 1942 in Church Point, LA and passed away November 11, 2009. Barbara Mae Schexnayder was a native of Louisiana who resided in Texas for 37 years. She had an outgoing personality who never met a stranger. Her generous spirit led her to lend a helping hand to all those in need. Barbara was family oriented and loved babysitting her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching nightly the “Wheel of Fortune” and playing BINGO every chance she could. As a faithful Christian she had an enthusiasm for her Adult Bible Fellowship study group. In her most active years her passion was fishing for Crappie and looked forward to the crawfish season. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby in 2009, her father LeRoy Vezina in 2005, and her sons Gerard in 1976, Chippy in 1999 and Cho in 2006. Survivors: Mother Drilma Vezina, Sister Delores Pesano, Daughter Glenda Zaborac (Scott), Son Bob Jr. (Lorie), Grandchildren Corey, Ashton, Brinley, nieces Rachel James, Sophie Speaks and great niece Jayme Pesano. The celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 in Barbara’s honor at Restland Wildwood Chapel with REV. Andy Jacobs and with a gravesite service to follow in Restland Memorial Park, Court of Good Shepherd.
