Barbara Louise Thomas' Obituary
Barbara Louise Cella Thomas died surrounded by her family on January 21, 2021 briefly after being diagnosed with cancer. Barbara was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on September 19, 1934. She graduated from Saint Elizabeth College and earned her master's degree from Seton Hall University. She taught elementary school in Hoboken until she married Atticus Thomas, Jr. in 1965. They moved to San Antonio, Texas and had two daughters before relocating to Dallas, Texas. Barbara taught English in Dallas Independent School District at LV Stockard Middle School and later at Sunset High School where she chaired the English Department until her retirement. Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and sister. She is survived by Courtney Thomas Loy and Alan Loy and Hilary Thomas Liston, Bob Liston, Ryan Liston and Katie Liston.
