Barbara Wilmore's Obituary
WILMORE, BARBARA, age 62, of Little Elm, Texas, left this earth and went to her new home in Heaven on May 3, 2014. She was born in West Orange, New Jersey to Adolph and Esther Simone. She married the love of her life, Melvin Wilmore on October 1, 1976 and is the mother to David Wilmore and Jannine Wilmore-Hemphill. Barbara Wilmore was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. To say that this beautiful spirit of a woman will be missed is not a strong enough statement to express the depth of emotion felt by her loss. She touched everyone she came in contact with in such an impactful, positive way. To know her was to love and be inspired by her. She found joy in the ocean, being in the fresh air, taking care of plants, working with arts and crafts, and spending time with her family. She shared and gave of herself openly and with love from her heart. Barbara was a deeply spiritual, faithful servant of God. She believed in his power and mercy and that everything happens according to his plan. She lived her life in a way that was a model for her children and grandchildren to follow and be proud of. She was one of the strongest, wisest, warmest, kindest, most generous and loving women any of us has ever come in contact with. She was our soft place to fall as well as our strength through the roughest storms in our lives. We loved her so much, and wish she was still here with us so that we could continue to enjoy her infectious laugh, warm, genuine hugs and kisses, silly one-liners, re-telling of stories and words of wisdom. However, we know that she is in a better place and free from any more pain. God sent us one of his angels for a time that he knew she would be needed. But, we believe she was one of his favorites, and he missed her so much that he is now calling her back home to be with him. She will forever be missed, but will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
