Barton Payne Vinnedge's Obituary
Bart was born on April 24, 1924 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Lloyd H. Vinnedge and Ellen (Ruby) LaSarge. He passed away at the age of 100 on August 13, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. Bart grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma to
attend the University of Tulsa. Bart worked at Bethlehem Steel Company, Supply Division for 30 years. Afterwards he moved to Dallas, Texas and began working at JW Operating Co. as a Vice President.
Bart is survived by his spouse of 37 years, Patricia Vinnedge, daughter Gloria Vinnedge Johnson (Leland), granddaughters Rebecca Brown Singleton (John, Joshua, Jordan, Abbie) Deborah Brown Cruz (Tanisha, Illeanna, Urijah) Calie Johnson McDougall (Michael, Jackson, Logan, Harrison), step-daughters Kathryn Griffin, Diane Harrell, Pamela Casner, Christina Carrier and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, daughter Cynthia Vinnedge Schnaufer, former wife, Jacqueline Basham Vinnedge and grandson Mark Brown.
