Beatrice Valrie Baty Senter's Obituary
Beatrice Valrie Baty Senter, 86, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. She was born December 18, 1937, in Freestone County, Texas, to Charles Andrew Baty and Lola Elaine (“Peachie”) Wren Baty. She graduated from Teague High School in 1956 and then obtained her associates degree in accounting from Nixon Clay Commercial College in Austin.
She married her high school sweetheart Donald Senter in 1957, and they moved to Dallas in 1960 where she worked in advertising. After 2 years in North Carolina during Don’s service in the Air Force, they moved to South Garland in 1968 where she was a community leader, a mother to 3 super kids and half of their friends, while also holding the position of medical office manager of the Allergy Clinic of Garland until her retirement in 2014. They moved to Richland Chambers Lake full time where she participated actively in their lake and church community.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Donald Senter, her children, Cynthia Patterson and her husband, James, of Dallas, Cheryl Brashears and her husband, Robert, of San Jose, CA, and David Senter and his wife, Reneé, of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Jesse Patterson, Catherine Patterson, Jacob Brashears, Audrey Senter, Taylor Senter, Samuel Brashears, Lyndsey Brashears; and her sister, Carolyn Baty Hall.
Valrie is preceded in death by her siblings Charles Baty, Truman Baty, and Evelyn Baty Jones.
